Hi-Rise Toasters - Club Officer Roles

 Club President:

As President you provide the leadership and guidance the Club needs to be successful. You have overall responsibility for seeing that the Club provides the positive, supportive, stimulating environment its members need to fulfill their self-development goals. As the leader, it is your job to analyze the Club’s strengths and weaknesses. You lead the Executive Committee in making plans and setting goals to keep the Club strong and active.

 

Vice President of Education:

As Vice President of Education, you are responsible for providing and maintain a positive Club environment through programs that allow people to develop their speaking, listening, thinking and leadership skills. You are responsible for scheduling weekly assignment and assuring that the participants understand their responsibilities. You need to be attuned to members needs and respond to them through special programs or assignments.

 

Vice President of Membership:

Members are the backbone of the Toastmasters organization. As Vice President of Membership you are responsible for building membership and assuring a strong membership base by concentrating on satisfying the needs of all members. You provide Toastmasters information to visitors and contact them after their visit to answer any questions. You help plan for membership campaigns and other special events targeted at Club membership growth.

 

Vice President of Public Relations:

As Vice President of Public Relations, you coordinate an active publicity and public relations campaign. This includes posting meeting announcements and publicizing special events. Your job is to make sure that the surrounding community is aware of the Club and its activities.

 

Secretary/Treasurer:

As Secretary/Treasurer, you are responsible to keeping clear and accurate records of Club business and finances. This includes membership records and correspondence with Toastmasters International. You are also responsible for collecting dues and assuring that they are sent to World Headquarters in a timely fashion.

 

Sergeant at Arms:

As Sergeant at Arms you are responsible for the Club’s property. You arrange and setup the meeting room and welcome guests at each meeting. You are also responsible for collecting and counting ballots for awards at each meeting.
